Hey Everyone,

Welcome to a New Year of Key Club. The Meetings are every Tuesday afterschool in the Cafeteria. We have a whole bunch of new and fun events planned for you this year. Also our new email address is keyclubthhs@gmail.com. For those of you who have a team or sport, you need to email me, because I'm not sure how many members there are and also if your coming to an event, email us, if you don't sign in with us during club meetings.

This year we are implementing the point system. Basically in order to get credit, every member must get a minimum of 1500 points per semester. Points go as followed:

Each Community Service Event: 250 points

Each Club Meeting: 30 Points

Each School Event: 50 Points

Each Time You Bring in Food for a Bake Sale: 50 Points + 25 Points for each additional item

Being an Executive or Cabinet Board Member: 250 points

Does this sound complicated or difficult to accomplish? Well it's not because if you attend all the meetings for the semester, that automatically adds up to 500 or more points. Then you can just do 4 community service events, one a month and there you go, an instant 1500 easy no hassel points. This way members are now able to more easily control how and in what ways they want to participate in the club.

Also we are looking for a new secretary, in order to qualify, you must have 7 community service events from last year + good attendance record in meetings. If you qualify, give a 2-3 minute speech and we'll have a vote. If you interested email me if you haven't already spoken to me, I'll send you more details.

We are introducing a New Cabinet: (No Qualifications Necessary)

Webmaster: Responsibilities include maintaining web page and xanga.

Fundraising Director: Responsibilites are coming up with fundrasing ideas and working with Executive Board to carry it out.

Special Relations Director: Responsibilities include petitioning to create an affiliation with Key Club International and once affiliated be the relation between the club and the organization.

If Your interested, send me you name, official class and a convincing persuasive paragraph on why you should be chosen and what you plan to do by email or in person. Must be commited to attending all club meetings.
